Court says, Muslim woman's marriage with a Hindu man invalid till she converts!

With the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) ruled states bringing Love Jihad laws against the forceful conversions of women to other religions to get married, the cases pertaining to the issue are reaching the courts.
One such case reached the Punjab and Haryana High Court after a Muslim Woman and Hindu man who married recently in a Hindu temple. The duo solemnized their marriage on January 15.
The Court observed that the marriage is not valid as the woman did not convert to Hinduism. Muslim woman's marriage with Hindu man invalid till she converts, the Punjab and Haryana High Court bench said.
An 18-year-old Muslim woman and a 25-year-old Hindu man married in January at a Hindu temple. After their family members allegedly threatened them, they approached the police to seek protection but in vain.
The Couple told the same court that they had approached the Superintendent of Police, Ambala for providing security, but they were not provided security. With no option left, they knocked on the doors of the Court.
During the arguments, the High Court said, the duo can have a consensual relationship. The High Court had also directed the SP Ambala to provide security to the couple.
