By: Tupaki Desk | 3 Feb 2022 7:25 PM ISTNarendra Modi is the first non-Congress Prime Minister to serve as the PM for two consecutive terms. Another thing that sets him apart from other PMs is that he often interacts with the Army and whenever he meets them, he dons the Indian Army Uniform.
Now the same aspect had attracted troubles for Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister's Office received notices from a district court on Modi wearing the Army dress. The Court had served notices hearing a petition that was filed before the court.
A petitioner had knocked on the doors of the district court in Prayagraj raising objections over Narendra Modi wearing the Army dress. In the petition, the petitioner had dubbed the actions of Modi as a punishable offence
According to the media reports, the petitioner who moved the district court is an advocate who goes by the name Rakesh Nath Pandey. In the petition, the advocate had cited Section 140 of the Indian Penal Code.
As a response to the petition, the district court had served notices to the PMO and said that the next hearing will be held on the 2nd of next month.
After making it to the PM office, Narendra Modi made it a habit of celebrating Diwali with the Army. Over the years, he has been following the same. The previous Diwali was also celebrated by Modi in a similar fashion.
