COVID-19 Cases Reach 2157 In Andhra Pradesh
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 May 2020 7:59 AM GMTAndhra Pradesh reported 57 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours taking the toll of the positive cases in the state to 2157 raising many fears and concerns about the spared of the virus.
The Andhra Pradesh health department issued a health bulletin to confirm the fresh cases of the novel coronavirus in the state which stated that 9,038 samples were tested in the past 24 hours.
Out of the newly reported cases, Chittor and Nellore reported 14 cases each followed by Krishna(9), Kurnool(8), Anantapuram(4), Vizianagaram(3), Visakhapatnam(2) and East Godavari(1).
The active cases in the state stood at 857, while 1252 patients managed to recover from the fatal virus and got discharged from the hospitals accordingly. On the other hand, 48 people last their lives to the virus.
Talking about the total cases in the country, the count reached 81,979 with 3,967 fresh cases reported in the country in the past 24 hours. 100 deaths reported in India taking the COVID-19 deaths to 2,649.
