The novel coronavirus which was originated from the Wuhan province of China has now affected the celestial wedding of Lord Rama on Sri Rama Navami resulting in the celebrations of Sri Rama Navami happening without the presence of the devotees.

Sri Rama Navami this time will be celebrated with the restrictions imposed on the devotees which will take place at the Mithila Stadium amidst huge public attendance. As devotees were not allowed this time the Kalyanam will be live-streamed on TV channels for the public.

The same was confirmed by the Transport Minister P Ajay Kumar who called for a press meeting on the restrictions imposed on the public attendance at the Pilgrimage.

"We are not allowing any devotee to the temple on that day and so, they should postpone all their plans," Transport Minister said.

"A decision on who would present the traditional silk clothes and pearls to the deity on behalf of the state government would be decided shortly," he added.
