The deadly COVID-19 has shown a very bad impact on flight services in and around the dragon country China. As per the reports, more than 200,000 flights were canceled and removed from the schedules from and to China with the coronavirus.

This latest development came after the authorities of the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport has imposed a restriction on the travel in and out of China. Around two-thirds of the scheduled flight's dates in China were changed sue to this.

With more than 2,200 deaths from the novel virus and more fresh cases of the outbreak, airlines are increasingly cancelling flights.

The latest report state that around 99,254 flights did not fly against the newly adjusted schedule time between January 23 and February 18. In these flights, domestic flights have a lion share of 89%.

"We are also now seeing impact outside of China. Countries with the biggest exposure to outbound Chinese leisure travellers, such as Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, and Cambodia have seen schedules cut by 70% or more on routes to China and are starting to see further reductions on non-Chinese routes. This will inevitably be hurting sectors focused on the tourist economy, including airlines," a leading flight data aggregator said.
