Covid-19 Vaccination: Centre Calls For Two-Day Vaccine Dry Run In 4 States

However, the union government has wicked only four states to conduct the vaccine Dry Run. The run will start in Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, and Assam on Monday, i.e. today.
The vaccine Dry Run is a sort of mock drill, which is conducted to check if the arrangements and facilities existing in the states can help in carrying out the Coronavirus vaccination program.
Reports claimed that, as of now, nearly 2,360 training sessions have been conducted, while 7,000 officials have also been trained on how to work effectively in the vaccination program.
The Dry Run can be cited as a test for the training sessions. The states will report to the centre after the Dry Run with the observations the respective state made during the program.
The dry run will be conducted for two days in every state. Andhra Pradesh picked Krishna district for the Dry Run, while Assam picked Sonitpur and Nalbari districts.
During the Dry Run, every aspect barring the vaccine administering will be tested by the assigned authorities. The data collected will be uploaded to the Co-WIN app. Aspects like cold storage facilities and transport facilities will also be monitored.
The union government has called for such a mock drill to give a chance to the states to look into the challenges they will face during the vaccination program and rectify it by the time the actual vaccination program gets started.
