Covid can be detected by testing Phone Swabs, say Researchers

Undergoing Corona tests is one of the main ways to detect the virus. However, people still fear taking the test as a small stick will be stirred in the nose of the person who gives their swab samples.
To keep an end to such painful tests, the researchers at UK's University College London(UCL) have developed a new method to detect the virus with the help of phone swabs.
The researchers said that with the new method called, Phone Screen Testing(PoST) method, the virus can be detected accurately.
'The new model doesn't cause pain to those who take the test and there is no need for the medical personnel to be present during the test. This helps in mass Covid detection tests. It is economical too. The PoST detects the virus accurately like the Swab samples,' the researchers said.
A Chile-based start-up company is busy developing a machine for the new model. The Machine works in a way that, after taking the samples from the phone, the test results will be delivered to the respective individual through SMS.
People with a high load of Covid were detected through the new module. The samples of the people were collected through the phones. Those who were tested positive for Covid were also detected in the new model.
