Covid Fear: Govt Makes Masks Mandatory, Issues Guidelines!

Wearing a face mask is not mandatory anymore in many states. Looking at the slowdown of Covid spread, a few states have officially announced that facemasks are not mandatory and they can wear them if needed. It doesn't take much time for the country to realise how harsh it could be if the Covid guard is let down.
The national capital Delhi is seeing a steady spike in the number of fresh cases. As if it is not enough, India reported more than 2,000 single-day cases triggered by the Covid for two consecutive days. This made the other states neighbouring Delhi swing into action.
The Punjab government acted fastly and urged the people to not let the Covid guard down. In a statement, the government said that wearing masks was made mandatory. Having said that, the government had directed the Police Department to ensure that the new rule is followed.
In the official release, the Punjab government said that masks should be worn in public places while using public transport. Besides this, mask-wearing is also made mandatory at shopping malls, theatres, classrooms, and even workplaces. Looks like Punjab doesn't want to witness what Delhi is going through and decided to focus on the safety and precautionary measures
Earlier, the Haryana government had ordered that, in main areas in the state, masks should be worn so that the virus spread can be stopped. Delhi Government said that schools will not be closed but the authors will be asked to follow certain Standard operating procedure.
