By this stretch, an estimated 70 to 80 per cent of the world population will be infected by Corona virus. The death toll too is likely to hit the roof. And the worst part of it is that US, the global super power, is going to be among the hardest hit nations. According to a study by the Centre for Infectious Diseases and Policy of the Minnesota University, with the temperatures falling steeply in the coming days, the virus is all set to affect more areas and kill more people. The department, which aids the US government in tackling pandemics, has put out bleak projections for the coming days.
The study also suggests that the only way to tackle the virus is by improving the disease resistance. It is important to ensure that the resistance grows for at least up to the coming two years to fight off Covid, the report said.
