COVID-19 cases Surpassed 17,000 In India

In what it could be a shocker, 1533 fresh cases were reported in India in the past 24 hours which takes the toll of the total count of the cases to 17,265 in the country.
36 COVID-19 deaths were reported in India over the last 24 hours and the toll of the deaths due to the pandemic reached 543 in India to date. Out of the 17,265 cases, 2547 people have recovered from the virus while 14,175 people have been given treatment.
Talking about the COVID-19 fatalities, Maharashtra tops the list with 211 deaths followed by Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat with 70 and 58 deaths respectively.
The count of COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh reached 647 with 44 fresh cases reporting in the past 24 hours in the state. Out of them 65 patients were recovered and discharged while 17 members have succumbed to the fatal disease.
The COVID-19 cases in Telangana stood at 858 claiming 21 deaths to the pandemic to date. Following this, Telangana CM KCR has canceled the functioning of Zomato and Swiggy until further updates.
