COVID-19 Cases Surpassed 78,000-Mark In India

3,722 positive cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in India in the past 24 hours and the total count of the cases stood at 78,003. On the other hand, the total COVID-19 fatalities reached 2,549 with 134 fresh deaths reported.
To date, 26,234 patients were recovered from the fatal virus and got discharged from the hospitals accordingly and with this, the active cases in the country stood at 49,219.
The information provided by the Health Ministry states that Maharashtra(25,922), Gujarat(9,267), Tamil Nadu(9,227), Delhi(7,998), Rajasthan(4,328), Madhya Pradesh(4,173) and Uttar Pradesh(3,729) are the six worst-hit states in the nation.
It has been reported that the relaxations given for the migrant workers from the lockdown measures led to the rise of the positive cases as the migrant workers travel closely with others without following social distancing norms.
