The Supreme Court, which heard a lunch motion petition filed by the Telangana Crackers Association has issued crucial interim orders on the crackers ban in the state.

In a piece of good news for the retail sellers of crackers, the apex court gave its nod for the crackers. However, the court issued directives to implement the orders of the National Green Tribunal(NGT).

The top court has lifted the ban on crackers and gave a green signal for the green crackers. The Supreme Court gave its nod to Craker bursting for two hours on the day of the Diwali festival. From 8 PM to 10 PM people can burst crackers that too green crackers.

On the 12th of November, the Telangana High Court has directed to impose a ban, including a ban on the sale and purchase of crackers in the wake of the Covid-19 virus spread as air pollution makes people more vulnerable to viruses.

After the Telangana High Court imposed a ban on crackers and asked the state government to publicize the crackers ban, police have raided many stalls and seized many stalls.

Following this, the Telangana Crackers Association moved the Supreme Court to seek directives to stay the crackers ban as banning crackers days before the Diwali festival will result in huge losses for them.
