The 2021 edition of the Border-Gavaskar trophy made it to the headlines after the crowd at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) made racial abuses at Indian speedsters Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj in the third test.

After the player duo was subjected to racial abuse, Indian skipper Ajinkya Rahane stopped the play and complained about the issue to the field umpires and the officials of the International Cricket Council(ICC).

Cricket Australia (CA), which has launched a probe into the issue of the rude behavior of the crowd has submitted a detailed report to the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is said that in the reports CA said that Indian players were racially abused by the crowd at the SCG.

Media reports quoted CA's Head of Integrity and Security Sean Carroll as saying the Indian players were subjected to racial abuse at the SCG."CA's investigation concluded that the spectators filmed and/or photographed by the media in the Brewongle Stand concourse at the conclusion of the 86th over on day three of the Test did not engage in racist behaviour," Sean Carroll added.
