#MeToo Movement motivated the victims of sexual abuse to speak out about the harassment they have faced. Even Kathryn Mayorga (34), the former teacher who accused Portugal Soccer Star Cristiano Ronaldo of raping her in 2009, got the courage from the same campaign.
As per the Lawsuit, Kathryn Maryorga met Ronald at the Rain Nightclub in the Palms Hotel and Casino, after which he had sexually assaulted her in his penthouse suite.
Kathryn's Lawyer informed the court that his client slipped into depression and had suicidal tendencies after she was sexually violated. She was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder. After making rape allegation, Kathryn left Las Vegas to avoid media glare.
Cristiano Ronaldo denied sexually assaulting Kathryn Maryorga - 'My clear conscious will thereby allow me to await with tranquility the results of any and all investigations'.
Las Vegas Police reopened the rape case and carrying out the investigations based on the information provided by the victim.
