The expert committee formed on the issue of three - capitals for AP is all set to submit its final report on Friday and there is an air of expectation and anticipation across the state. The committee's report assumes importance in view of the Government's decision to decentrale and devolve power.
The committee headed by retired civil servant GN Rao has given final shape to the report which contains opinions and comments of officials of various government departments and people from all walks of life.The committee has toured 13 districts in the state. The committee met in Vijayawada on Wednesday and Thursday to finalise the report .
The report assumes great importance and this will form the basis of the decision to set up three capitals in the state. It is expected to endorse YS Jagan's decision to have two more capitals – administrative capital at Vizag and judicial capital at Kurnool. YS Jagan feels that this will reduce centralisation of authority and help in the equitable development of all the three regions of the state.
