The Centre is not leaving any stone unturned to fight the deadly Covid-19 by issuing the guidelines and precautions that have to be followed. Fearing the virus might spread to others the government has asked the citizens to keep away themselves with the affected people.

Now creating many concerns on the virus a study reported that public health risks associated with the simultaneous handling of food and currency may spread viral infections.

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) also requested the Finance Ministry to order an investigation to look at the chances of the deadly virus spreading through the currency notes.

'India's top health research body ICMR recently declared that coronavirus spread is inevitable. It's present status of stage-3 means it is in community transmission. Therefore, people must take steps to use digital payment methods. For the people who cannot make payments online, they must resort to practices like washing hands more often,' Assistant Professor in PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (PSG IMS&R) Arun Padmanandan said.

The professor went on to explain the high-risk transmission of the deadly virus related to handling banknotes and currency as the notes pass from one person to another in a single day.
