Arif Tried To Attack Us: CP Sajjanar

Cyberabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar called for a press meet on the encounter of the culprits in the gang-rape and murder of Disha. Talking to the media he said, "As part of the investigation, our police have enquired about Disha's belongings. Initially the accusers gave irresponsible replies and later said they hid the phone and other things near to the spot where she was burnt."
"Along with the accusers, about ten police personnel were brought to the crime spot. But the prime accused A1 Mohammad Arif started to attack the police by throwing stones and sticks at the cops. The police warned him to stop but A4 Chennakeshavulu, joined Arif. In order to protect themselves, the police fired at the accusers. In this all the four have died on the spot. This incident took place around 5 AM to 6 AM," he observed.
"Arif and Chennakeshavulu had guns with them. The clues team have seized the guns from the accusers and the investigation is going on," he added.
He said after reaching the spot, the culprits have intentionally killed time and suddenly started to attack the police personnel with stones and sticks. Later Arif and Chennakeshavulu snatched guns from police and tried to attack the police.
Though the police have warned them to surrender, the accused tried to escape and the police have opened gunfire. 10 police personnel were present when they went to the spot to reconstruct the crime. In this encounter, an S.I and constable were injured. The National Human Rights Commission(NHRC) has ordered a probe into the encounter.
