Cyclone Vardah weakens, 4 People killed so far!

Chennai city and few coastal districts of Tamil Nadu experienced Nature's fury Today in the form of Cyclone Vardah. At least four persons were killed in the neighbouring state so far. While two people died in Chennai, The death toll was one each in Kancheepuram and Nagapattinam.
The wind speed is around 145 kmph in Chennai and surrounding areas. Hundreds of trees were uprooted, numerous hoardings have fallen and transportation has come to a halt. People are advised to stay indoors from 1 pm to 4 pm. Thousands of people in low-lying areas have been evacuated.
Cyclone Vardah has weakened by Today afternoon and became a cyclonic storm. Experts say, This cyclone isn't as severe as that of Hudhud. It is expected to cross the Chennai coast between 6 pm to 7 pm Today. Heavy rains were predicted till Tuesday afternoon.
Luckily, Cyclone Vardah spared AP from any sort of major destruction. But, Heavy rains forecast for Nellore, Chittoor, Anantapur and Prakasam districts for the next 24 hours.
