Son Set To Bring Dad Into BJP

Time was when the BJP was a single column party. It would not get more than a single column coverage in the Telugu states. Only a fistful of leaders were known outside the party. But, since 2019 elections, things have drastically changed. The party caused a major upset by winning four seats. In two of the four seats it hd won, the party beat TRS biggies like Kavitha Kalwakuntla and Vinod, both close family members of Chief Minister KCR. Since then the party's stars are on the ascendant and leaders from the TDP and the Congress are flocking to the party. The TDP today is all wiped out and its leaders now in the BJP. The Congress too is witnessing desertions.
The latest add-up to the BJP could be from the TRS. TRS Rajya Sabha MP and senior politician Dharmapuri Srinivas may soon join the BJP. This was revealed by none other than D Srinivas son and Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind. He said his father would soon join the TRS. He also assured his father's supporters and followers that he would take care of their interests in the BJP.
It may be recalled that DS, who was twice the Pradesh Congress president in undivided AP and former minister, had joined the TRS after the Congress denied him an MLC ticket. Later, the TRS made him a Rajya Sabha MP, but then kept him aside. He was not given any importance. So, he has been sulking for quite sometime. He has recently met Amit Shah after his son became a BJP MP. Now, it appears that the decks ae cleared and he could join the party anytime now.
