D Sridhar Babu To Take Charge As New TPCC Chief?

After the resignation of TPCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy post GHMC poll results, the party leaders have now focus on filling the seat with a capable leader. The name of Manthani MLA and TPCC vice president Duddilla Sridhar Babu is prominently heard for the post of TPCC chief.
A native of Dhanwada village in Kataram Mandal of Karimnagar district, Sridhar is known as a non-controversial and gentleman in the party. It is learned that the party high command is confident that if Sridhar Babu, who has direct links with Delhi, sits on the TPCC pedestal, it will coordinate all sections and bring prestige to the party.
After the resignation of Uttam, leaders such as MP A Revanth Reddy, MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy are lobbying at the apex for the post. Most of the Reddy community leaders are vying for the TPCC position. Uttam Kumar Reddy, who already belongs to the same community has failed to garner votes for the party. With this, once again, the information is that the high command is thinking of handing over the TPCC pedestal to other BCs, not from the same community.
Sridhar Babu, who belongs to the Brahmin community, has good relations with all the party leaders. He has elected three terms as Manthani MLA and served as a minister during the reign of YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Also Sridhar Babu's father Duddilla Sripadarao served as the Speaker. Being a family that has been working with Congress for more than three decades, there is propaganda that the party is leaning towards him. Earlier, MP Komatireddy Venkatreddy has made it clear that he and Revanth Reddy have no objection to the appointment of Sridhar Babu as TPCC chief.
