No Party Wants This Senior Politician
X
Saturday was a day of mixed feelings for senior politician and former minister D Srinivas. D Srinivas is in a very unique position. The TRS is not expelling him from the party. At the same time, the Congress isn't exactly rolling out a red carpet for him. He is neither here nor thare.

D Srinivas, who was PCC chief of two occasions and brought Congress to power both the times, defected to the TRS after Congress gave MLA ticket to a female politician much junior to him. However, he was never comfortable in the TRS and felt he was out of place. His son Aravind Dharmapuri's joining of the BJP has sealed his fate in the TRS. When he tried to contact the Congress leaders, Nizamabad TRS MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha lodged a complaint with the TRS boss about DS. DS tried to explain his position, but the TRS boss did not give him appointment. DS found that the TRS does not want him, but at the same time, it is not ready to expel him too. It wants to wear him out. Meanwhile, the Congress party has not shown any interest in DS. It did not welcome him. Through its actions, the Congress has indicated that he was not welcome in his party. However, DS has very few options. He has already asked his key followers to join the Congress. On Friday, DS met key Congress leaders and discussed political developments.

Meanwhile, expelled TRS leaders Narsireddy and Nayak have joined the Congress.
