D Srinivas's Son Arrested On SC Atrocities Case

The TRS government , it appears, is hell bent on tormenting its own senior leader D Srinivas. Upset that he is planning to leave the TRS and that his second son Aravind is planning to contest on BJP ticket against TRS boss's daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha, the TRS appears to be going hammer and tongs against D Srinivas.
His son and former Nizamabad mayor Sanjay has been arrested. Interestingly, he was accused of sexually harassing girls of Shankari Nursing College in Nizamabad. But, interestingly, when Sanjay was arrested and remanded, it was not on woman harassment or Nirbhaya case, but on SC ST Atrocities Prevention Act.
When Sanjay was taken to the local court, the court rejected the remand plea of the police saying that the affidavit by the police was faulty and the case does not stand. Technically, Sanjay was free and not guilty.
But, the police, who were determined to arrest him, drafted another case immediately and Sanjay was booked under SC ST Atrocities Prevention Act. It is under this case that he has been arrested and not on sexual harassment case.
So, there is no sexual harassment case on Sanjay. This means the whole case against Sanjay does not stand the legal test. The case he will fight now is only SC ST case.
