BJP national general secretary Daggubati Purandeswari tested positive for COVID-19. It is believed that she was admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad as she developed severe COVID symptoms.
The other day, the Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu tested positive for the virus. Following the doctor's advice, he is observing home-isolation.
In the past 24 hours, India witnessed 80,472 fresh infections, which push the total infections in the country to 62,25,764. With 51,87,826 patients beating the virus, the active cases stood at 9,40,441.
