Hitesh Chenchuram (S/o Daggubati Venkateswara Rao & Purandeswari) contemplated on contesting in 2019 Election from Parchur on YCP Ticket. Even Daggubati Venkateswara Rao conducted a survey on the poll prospects. Just when everything seems to be falling in place, Hitesh Chenchuram surprised everyone by applying for American Citizenship. He even got ready to let go the Indian Citizenship. This unexpected development raised many questions about the political debut.
If the buzz is true, YS Jaganmohan Reddy has given an open offer to Daggubati Venkateswara Rao who quit politics in 2014. He asked NTR's Son-in-Law to contest on YCP Ticket from Parchur.
YCP lacks a strong leader in Parchur Constituency. Gottipati Bharat who contested in the 2014 elections had withdrawn from race. There wasn't much improvement though Jagan changed two coordinators so far. So, YCP Leadership decided to prefer Daggubati who had won twice in Parchur with his good reputation. Venkateswara Rao is of the opinion that wrong indications will go to the public if he contests on YCP Ticket when Purandeswari is serving as a BJP Member.
If Daggubati agrees to contest from Parchur, TDP Leadership is likely to field Karanam Balaram as its candidate. Sitting MLA Eluri Sambasiva Rao mayn't give a tough fight to Venkateswara Rao and that is why Senior Leader could be preferred. There could be a close fight if the two senior leaders contest against each other in the next elections.
