Daggubati's Rivals To Get Plum Posts: Clear Signals To Daggubati
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 Oct 2019 7:44 AM GMTThe stage seems to be set for NTR's son-in-law Daggubati Venkateshwara Rao's exit from the YSRCP. His political rivals Ravi Ramanatham and Pitchi Reddy are going to be rewarded with key post in the district. This clearly shows that YS Jagan wants the party leaders to be cent per cent focused on party work. He brooks no divided loyalties. He has reportedly indicated to Daggubati to take a clear stand on his wife being in the BJP. YS Jagan also gave clarity on the issue to Balineni Srinivas Reddy, who is from the same district.
To ensure that there is no ambiguity, Ravi Ramanatham, who left the party after Daggubati joined and came back recently, is likely to be made incharge chairperson of the District Cooperative Central Bank. Similarly, party loyalist Pitchi Reddy would be given the chairperson post of the DCMS. Interestingly, Ramanatham too is from the same community that Daggubati belongs to. This again is a clear indication that the YSRCP is not in a position to tolerate divided loyalties.
Daggubati joined the YSRCP ahead of the 2019 elections and his son Hitesh Chenchu Ramaiah was offered MLA ticket. But there were some citizenship related issues which forced Hitesh to opt out of the elections. Daggubati himself had to file nominations from Parchuru at the last minutes. He lost narrowly. His wife Purandeshwari contested on the BJP ticket from Vizag. She too lost the elections.
