Daren Sammy Says He Faced Racism During IPL Stint

West Indies World Cup winning former captain Daren Sammy had recently revealed that his teammates in Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) used to call him 'kalu' by during the Indian Premier League (IPL).
In a video that Sammy, 36, posted on social media on Tuesday, he said his Hyderabad Sunrisers team-mates used to call him "kaalu", but he did not know what the word meant. After finding out the meaning, he was angry as it was degrading.
Warning those who used to call him 'Kalu' at Sunrisers, Sammy said he wanted them to explain themselves or apologise. In an emotional video on Instagram.
Soon after Sammy posted this video, his fellow teammates Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo stretched support to him.
"It's never too late to fight for the right cause or what you've experienced over the years! So much more to your story, @darensammy88. Like I said, it's in the game!!," Gayle commented.
