By: Tupaki Desk | 23 March 2015 4:50 AM GMTThe Enforcement Directorate which is investigating the money laundering in Coal scam is all set to attach the properties of former Minister of State (MoS) for Coal Dasari Narayana Rao.
Jindal Steel and Power Limited owned by Naveen Jindal had allegedly bribed Dasari to the tune of Rs 2.25 crore and the amount has been transferred to the Filmmaker's company Saubhagya Media Limited. Enforcement Directorate has already identified the properties of Dasari and the attachment process kickstarts soon.
As per the FIR of CBI which has been investigating the Coal Scam, Naveen Jindal's JSPL and Gagan Sponge Iron Ltd obtained Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block (Jharkhand) in the year 2008 illegally when Dasari was Minister of State for Coal. Its adds, Dasari was bribed and hence the Director-turned-Politician pressurised the Screening Committee to favour the Company.
