Huge Relief to Dasari in Coalgate Scam

The Coalgate scam has tarnished the image of Veteran Director & Former Union Minister Dasari Narayana Rao as there were serious allegations on him regarding the allocation of Coal blocks.
JLD Yavatmal Energy Ltd moved a petition in the Special CBI Court seeking inclusion of Dasari Narayana Rao's name as Additional Accused. The petitioner alleges then Union Ministers Dasari and Shibu Soren didn't bother to take the recommendations of former Coal Secretary PC Parekh into consideration even though he pointed the allocation of coal blocks to certain firms is illegal. However, The Special CBI Court dismissed the petition citing lack of proper evidence against Dasari. This verdict came as a huge relief for the Veteran Filmmaker.
CBI and ED were investigation the role of Dasari in coal blocks allocations. The Director was accused of accepting bribe to the tune of Rs 2 crore for favoring few firms in the allocation of coal blocks. But, Dasari always maintained that the allocation of coal blocks were done as per the orders of then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
