By: Tupaki Desk | 29 March 2018 12:21 PM GMTSteve Smith, David Warner got caught ball tampering in the 3rd test match of ongoing Austrslian tour of South Africa.
Two of them have been banned from cricket for 12 months by Cricket Australia, the board of cricket control in Australia and this made them unfit to play in IPL, this year.
After Cricket Australia announced its sanctions to the players, IPL management also announced that both cricketers will be deemed unfit to play in IPL, 2018.
For Sunrisers Hyderabad, local IPL team, this became a huge set back as David Warner is not just a key player but also captain of SRH franchise team.
Losing him just before the start of IPL, has upset the plans of SRH. They had to name a new captain and New Zealand cricketer and captain, Kane Williamson got the job.
The cricketer accepted the responsibility and said that he will try to take team forward this season. Steve Smith too had to step down as Captain of Rajasthan Royals.
