Dawood Ibrahim arrest: Centre takes a U-Turn!
By: Tupaki Desk | 5 May 2015 12:14 PM GMTNDA Government on Tuesday said in Parliament that Dawood Ibrahim who is India's most wanted criminal and the mastermind behind 1993 Mumbai blasts which killed around 300 people hasn't been located so far.
While responding to a question raised by BJP MP on the extradition of notorious criminal, Minister of State for Home Mr. Haribhai Chaudhury said Dawood Ibrahim is yet to be located and extradition process will be initiated once he is located.
Actually, India has always maintained Dawood Ibrahim is in Karachi and Paistan Government is looking after his protection. Even Home Minister Rajnath Singh in his statement in December last year told Dawood's location has been traced through a telephone conversation and he's in Karachi. He also informed Government of India has repeatedly appealed Pakistan to hand over Dawood to India.
Former Home Minister P Chidambaram had once stated India is aware of the street where Dawood Ibrahim lives in Karachi.
However, Haribhai Chaudhury's statement is no where close to the above claims made by former and current Home Minister. Does it mean Dawood is off the Indian Intelligence Scanner and it can't locate him any more?
