Day 1 of Jagananne Maa Bhavishyattu proves to be a mixed bag
By: Tupaki Desk | 9 April 2023 12:18 AM ISTThe Day 1 of the Jagananne Maa Bhavishyattu or Our future lies with Jagan programme turned out to be quite a challenging one of the party. As the teams of the party workers went around the lanes and bylanes of the villages across the state, they met with a slew of complaint. The people questioned and countered them on various issues and sought their answers.
The party has appointed three conveners per village secretariats. Each convener has 50 households to contact. These people will cover every house and will enquire about the access to various schemes of the government and the problems being faced in getting pension and other benefits. At several places, the teams are led by the local MLAs and constituency conveners.
However, at several places, the voters refused to allow the YS Jagan stickers to their houses and the backs of their smartphones. In some places, the people tore off the stickers pasted by the party workers. They raised questions about the lack of civic amenities in their respective localities and took the party workers to task.
At the same time, there were questions about the village volunteers taking part in the programme. The people sought to know how paid employees of the government such as village volunteers join the Jagananne Maa Bhavishyattu programme, which is essentially a party programme. They said this was nothing but misuse of power. Thus, the Day 1 ended up as a mixed bag for the YSRCP.
