DCGI Approves Zydus Cadila Vaccine which works on children too

As a big support to India's efforts of administering vaccine doses to the people in the country, the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) gave its nod for Emergency Use Authorization for Zydus Cadila.
The DCGI said the vaccine dose can be administered to adults and children who are above 12. The vaccine had become the fifth vaccine overall to get approved to use in vaccinating the beneficiaries.
The clinical trials of the vaccine dose have produced encouraging results which made the Cadila Healthcare Ltd to apply for the Emergency Use if it's vaccine. The vaccine which was also tried on children had resulted in good results with an efficacy of over 66 percent.
The DNA vaccine fights with the Covid by producing the spike protein which in turn results in creating a good immune response. To see that the side effects were reduced the manufacturers have made the vaccine as needle-free.
Cadila Healthcare Ltd, based out of Gujarat's Ahmedabad expressed its happiness over the vaccine dose receiving the approval and the company is confident that it would have a good response.
Currently, Covishield, Covaxin,Sputnik V,Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are being used in vaccinating the people in the country. Now the three-dose vaccine joined the list.
