Decks Cleared For Revanth's Appointment As PCC Chief

The Congress Party, which has received the severest drubbing in all the five states in contested in recently, has decided to overhaul the organisation. It wants to do a massive rejig of the party organisational structure and bring in younger leaders.
Sources say that the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief's name too would be announced shortly. The party leadership, which had decided on Revanth Reddy's name, had kept the announcement pending in view of the Nagarjunasagar bypolls. The decision was taken as the Congress candidate for Nagarjunasagar Jana Reddy has asked the high command to defer the announcement till the election was over. Now there is no impediment whatsoever in announcing Revanth's name, say party sources. So, Revanth Reddy's name could be announced anytime soon. This could also mean disappointment for Komatireddy brothers, who have been angling for the post for quite some time.
Similarly, the PCC chiefs of other states too would be announced soon. Sources said that Rahul Gandhi is preferring younger leaders for the post. In Kerala, there are at least three young leaders in the fray. Most probably, the party high command could announce the candidature of young Sudhakaran for Kerala PCC chief's post.
