Deep Down Uddhav Thackeray Regrets Rejecting BJP's Offer?
By: Tupaki Desk | 1 July 2022 11:26 AM GMTIn a quick turn of events, we witnessed a high intense political drama in Maharashtra which is no less than any commercial film given the unexpected twists. The government changed after Uddhav Thackeray stepped down and Eknath Shinde replaced him as the Chief Minister of the state.
Uddhav Thackeray, who resigned as Chief Minister to escape the floor test had spoken about the new developments and said that we would have not seen all this if Union Home Minister Amit Shah would have accepted his proposal f sharing the power- two and a half years each.
In the 2019 Maharashtra elections, no party got the required majority, though Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as the single-largest party by scoring a century in the Assembly polls. Shiv Sena and BJP could not come to a common point and parted ways.
Now the former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is blaming Amit Shah for creating the situation which triggered the birth of Maha Vikas Aghadi, bringing Shiv Sena, Congress, and NCP together. It was strange that Shiv Sena joined hands with secular parties.
Though Uddhav is blaming Amit Shah, experts say that he is regretting not accepting the offer made by the BJP. If he had accepted the post, he would have got any plum post like Home Minister or the Deputy Chief Minister.
Forming the alliance with Congress and NCP forced Shiv Sena to change its ideology which made the MLAs revolt against the party. For the next elections, Shiv Sena cannot flaunt its pro-Hindu ideology as Shiv Sena made cops arrest an MP when she said Hanuman Chalisa will be chanted outside Uddhav's residence.
