A doctor who is facing allegations of killing as many as 100 people was arrested in national capital Delhi by the Crime Branch department. He is wanted in many police stations.

According to the cops, Devender Sharma, 62, an Ayurvedic doctor killed as many as 50 people in the early 2000s. All the victims who lost their lives in the hands of the doctor were taxi drivers.

Talking about the murders he committed, the cops alleged that in the early 2000s Sharma murdered not less than 50 taxi drivers and to clear all the evidence he dumped the bodies of the victims in a canal which is full of crocodiles.

Cops say that he was taken into custody at his house in Baprola's region of the national capital Delhi. He is wanted in various cases by the Haryana police too.

On the other hand, some media reports claim that he is also connected with the illegal kidney transplant racket that shock the entire country in the 1990s.

DCP (Crime Branch) Rakesh Paweriya said that they received a tip-off about his whereabouts a week back and since then a team is watching him closely and arrested him at his residence.

Devender Sharma was awarded a life sentence in connection with a murder case and after 16 years of the sentence, he came out on parole in January and jumped his parole and fled to his native place.
