Pandemic Dairies: Delhi Surpassed Mumbai

New Delhi with 73,780 infections surpassed Mumbai which has 70,878. However, Mumbai still tops the list of cities with a more number of fatalities in connection with the virus.
Financial capital Mumbai currently has 4062 fatalities, while National Capital Delhi has 2429. Delhi surpassed Tamil Nadu in terms of casualties of the pandemic on Tuesday.
National Capital Delhi which witnessed the first infection of the dreaded virus in March, currently has 26,586 active cases of the virus.
Interestingly, Mumbai managed to bring down the fresh infections in recent times, while Delhi has been reporting as many as 3320 infections at an average in the last week and Mumbai reported 1134 cases on average.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah who chaired an all-party meeting to discuss the actions and measures to take to get the condition under control decided to increase the count of pandemic tests.
With this, the pandemic tests will be conducted in the national capital more aggressively and the authorities are gearing to conduct one pandemic test per house in Delhi by the 6th of July.
