Ram Rahim Case: Final Verdict in Jail, not Court!

In view of the violence since Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's conviction in the rape case, Quantum of Punishment to the Dera Sacha Sauda Chief will be pronounced in the Rohtak district jail itself instead of the court.
Punjab and Haryana High Court issued orders to Haryana Government seeking appropriate arrangements for Special CBI Judge to be flown to the prison. State Government was instructed to provide adequate security cover to Judge Jagdeep Singh before and after he pronounces the verdict.
Multi-Layered Security Arrangements are in place in and around Rohtak Jail after Ram Rahim was brought here in a Government Helicopter soon after his conviction. Haryana Police and Border Security Forces have been deployed near the jail. 28 CRPF Companies were already conducting their duty in the town.
At least, 36 people were killed and 250 others injured in the violence post Ram Rahim's conviction.
