Despite Corona Scare, Sasikala Refused Parole

Remember Sasikala, the best friend-cum-confidant of legendary Tamil leader Purutchi Thalaivi Jayalalitha? She is currently lodged in prison in connection with disproportionate assets case in Parappana Agrahara prison in Bengaluru. How is she coping with Covid 19 these days?
Sources said that Both Sasikala and her associate Ilavarasi are lodged in the same cell. Sources say that some of her partymen and relatives had tried to get her parole during the lockdown as a precautionary measure. The prison authorities have been liberal in giving paroles in view of the Lockdown. Many prisoners have been given paroles. As many as 1112 prisoners have since been given paroles. But, Sasikala refused parole. They are preferring to stay in the prison cell, and are following all the rules of quarantine like wearing face masks and keeping social distancing. They are taking every precaution to ensure that they do not come into contact with anyone.
Sources close to Sasikala's family say that they are getting food from their homes to ensure that there is no possibility of an infection. Sasikala's stepson Sudhakaran too is in the same prison.
