Why Did Deve Gowda Warn His Son?

It is a tough fight for all the major parties in Karnataka elections and an unexpected announcement has created ripples. JD(S) national president, former Prime Minister Deve Gowda gave a serious warning to his son HD Kumaraswamy. Even though they don't have the capacity to form the government alone.. they may become a kingmaker. In such a situation, there were reports in the media that if hung assembly forms.. Kumaraswamy is ready to strike an alliance with BJP. Responding to these reports Deve Gowda made serious comments.
Deve Gowda said that his party will never have an alliance with BJP.. if his son Kumaraswamy tries to shake hands with BJP, he will be expelled from the family. Deve Gowda made these comments while speaking to the reporters at his home in Bengaluru amidst survey reports suggesting of a hung assembly in Karnataka.
Deve Gowda said that it is Congress President Rahul Gandhi's election ploy projecting BJP-JD(S) as a team. He said it is nothing but Congress party's conspiracy against JD(S) amidst reports of a hung assembly. He also clarified that there is no truth in the reports that his son Kumaraswamy.. Amit Shah traveled on the same flight.
He lashed out at Congress party that they should show proofs for their claims or they should not make such allegations against JD(S) with an intention to damage the party image. On the other hand, Kumaraswamy also made interesting comments that they will not join hands with any other party in case of hung assembly. He said there is no other option but to go for re-elections in such a scenario.
On the whole, senior leader Deve Gowda put a full stop to the Congress campaign that BJP-JD(S) will come together. By doing so, he eyed on the anti-BJP vote and ani-Congress vote.
