The vaccine developed by the American pharma giant in collaboration with the BioNTec is in the top place in the list. The developers said the vaccine which is named BNT162b2 has entered the final stage.
The US Food and Drug Administration's Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) said, in the last and crucial stage of the vaccine the drug will be given to as many as 30,000 participants.
The vaccine announced by the American biotechnology company Moderna also reached the 3rd phase of the vaccine trial. The drug developer joined hands with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) to produce a potential vaccine that cures the virus.
The crucial trial of the vaccine is gearing up for the biggest trail and in this stage, the vaccine will be given over 30,000 participants to attain accurate data on the impact of the vaccine.
On the other hand, Oxford University collaborated with British-Swedish multinational pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca PLC to come up with a vaccine to cure the pandemic.
However, there is no official information on how much the vaccines will be costing. Some media reports claim that the vaccine produced by the AstraZeneca might be costing Rs 1,000 per unit, while the vaccine produced by the Bharat Biotech might cost around Rs 3,000 per unit.
