Holding final rituals is the last respect one could get. People attend the ceremony in big numbers to send the last goodbye to the person and remember the fond memories the attendees have with the concerned person. But a final ritual is in the news as hundreds of people gathered for the ritual of a crocodile.

Crocodile dying is a normal thing, but not the creature that is in the news now. A 75-year-old crocodile named Babiya which lived around the pond at the famous Sree Ananthapadmanabha Swamy Temple in Kerala is vegetarian and it takes only the Prasadam that is offered to the deity.

The Crocodile is famous as a vegetarian-eating creature. For the past few decades, it has been in the temple pond and comes out of the pond to have prasadam. Devotees who go to the temple will also visit the creature. A few times, the devotees offered prasadam with their hands and it did not hurt anyone.

Reports say that the crocodile has not been keeping well for the past few days and did not come out of the pond due to its health. All of a sudden, the creature was found dead on Sunday night. The devotees could not believe the news and gathered for the ceremony in big numbers.

Hundreds of devotees of the temple gathered for the last rituals and bid the last goodbye to the creature which is believed to be the guardian of the holy shrine. Despite staying in the temple for over seven decades, no one knows how the crocodile reached there.
