Tirupati: Devotees Rush at Ticket Counter leading to a stampede!

For the past few days, we have been hearing reports that the TTD Board which manages the Holy shrine of Tirupati is failing to offer proper facilities for the devotees at the temple. Recently, a few devotees alleged that they had to stand in long queues in hot summer without no shelter.
Now another unwanted issue took place at the shrine as a stampede-like situation erupted. It is said that devotees rushed to the Darshanam ticket counter leading to a tense situation. Many people faced suffocation, while around three people sustained injuries.
Reports say that thousands of devotees had fled towards the ticket counter at once. With the large crowd storming at the counter, several people were stuck in the queue lines and the children in the line had to face issues.
The issue came under control when the Police personnel rushed to the spot and cleared the crowd. Swinging into action, the TTD had reportedly said that the devotees can offer prayers at the shrine without any tickets and they will be allowed without any restrictions.
The tense situation aroused when the massive crowd tried to get the Sarvadarshanam tickets, which is a free ticket to see the deity. The authorities didn't expect that such a crowd would rush to the counters.
