Did APSRTC Undo RTC Driver's Suspension Due To Criticism?
By: Tupaki Desk | 8 Feb 2023 9:24 PM ISTTo bank on the success rate of padayatras, Telugu Desam Party General Secretary Nara Lokesh started a massive padayatra titled Yuva Galam. The political observers are saying that the yatra is going on smoothly and he is getting good responses from people and they are actively taking part in the yatra.
Nara Lokesh yatra is in the news due to various reasons. After the yatra was started the ruling party leaders started attacking Lokesh that he cannot finish the yatra and it is not easy to pull off a Jagan. The likes of Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi took a dig at Lokesh and said that is a strong leader.
Nara Lokesh meeting an RTC driver also made the yatra hit the headlines as he reportedly lost his job for shaking hands with Lokesh. The opposition TDP took a strong objection to the development and asked why the ruling party is fearing the party and Lokesh that the RTC driver lost his job just for shaking a hand with Lokesh.
But the issue took a big twist with the state-run Corporation body clarifying that there is no truth in the news that the RTC driver lost his job for shaking hands with Lokesh. Having said that, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation(APSRTC) maintained that legal action will be taken against people who are spreading fake news.
"This is absolutely false News. We strongly deny these claims made in media.APSRTC will initiate suitable legal action on the responsible social media administrators for such fake propaganda," RTC said on Twitter.
But the opposition party is alleging that the RTC might have undone the development seeing the criticism from various corners. We cannot rule out the possibility as the Andhra Pradesh government took some strong measures against those who went against their wishes.
A few Telugu Desam Party leaders and activists were targeted and arrested in the recent past. The likes of Kinjarapu Atchannaidu were arrested by the Police and sent to prison and the opposition party leaders dubbed these incidents as revenge politics. Raghurama Krishnam Raju who is from YCP was also arrested for going against the party.
