Did Chiru ask him to resign?

Chiru's close aide and Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao is playing a key role in Congress affairs after the merger of PRP with National party. He is also known to be a strong advocate of Samaikyandhra and opposing the division of state ever since the July 30th announcement was out. On Monday, He met Governor Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan to make his resignation accepted.
Is there Chiru's nod for Ganta's resignation? or Had the minister taken the decision in his individual capacity? In case if Chiranjeevi has granted permission for Ganta to resign, he too might be following the same path to keep the promise given to APNGOs. If Ganta hasn't consulted Chiru before meeting Governor, then it can be understood that the Union Minister is loosing the support of his own coterie.
Ganta's resignation will mount pressure on other ministers who were playing hide-n-seek game with the Seemandhra agitators. They will be forced to quit the cabinet very soon if Centre delays the troubleshooting further.
