Grapevine in the Industry is that Mahesh Babu has donated Rs 50 lakhs to the Uttarakhand Flood Relief fund. Although the actor wants to keep it as a secret, somehow the news has reached a section of media and it spread like wildfire. However, there is still no clarification from the Ghattamaneni camp regarding the donation.
Sources say, Mahesh Babu always follows his heart and would never ever crave for publicity when it comes to helping the needy. This could be the reason behind maintaining secrecy about the Rs 50 lakhs donation.
It is known that Pawan Kalyan was the first actor from Tollywood to lend a helping hand to the flood victims by donating Rs 20 lakhs. Now, Mahesh too joined the league to set a best example for 'actor with social responsibility'. Wish more actors get inspired by these two top stars and contribute their bit for the good cause.
It is believed that over 5,000 people might have lost their lives due to natural disaster. The rescue and relief operations have been conducted since several days. Indian Army should be commended for saving the lives of thousands of stranded pilgrims.
