He was found guilty in using his ashrams for running brothels and also human trafficking at dangerous level.
So, he has been asked to stay in India by court order and even a Court in Gujarat has summoned for his arrest. To evade arrest he attended Khumbh Mela 2018 and tried to flee from country as soon as he can.
His passport had to be renewed on 30th September 2018, but Bangalore police have rejected to give NOC to him.
This sparked him to escape to South America before 30th September 2018 say Gujarat Police and the investigation to find his whereabouts is still on. Gujarat police have raided his Ashram in Ahmadabad and arrested his women disciples who were allegedly torturing few women and children. Police have rescued the victims.
