Did Prakash Raaj Really Say That?
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 May 2019 9:52 AM GMTPrakash Raaj has been against PM Narendra Modi and BJP ever since, Gauri Lankesh has been brutally murdered in Karnataka. He is fighting the elections in Karnataka as an MP in Independent capacity.
The actor did give support to Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi CM in a process of unifying everyone against BJP.
Aravind Kejriwal said in his meeting that if he comes back to power, he will see that local Delhi youth get more preference in colleges and jobs. He said that many people from Tamil Nadu come there to study which is robing Delhi youth of their opportunities.
Prakash Raaj is reported to have said that he supports Kejriwal and he is not from Tamil Nadu but Karnataka. He doesn't identify himself as Tamilian like many in North India believe him to be.
A Tamil producer Dhananjayan asked Prakash Raaj on Twitter to clarify on the issue,
''Is it true @prakashraaj sir? Did you speak like this? I hope it's not true & you were misquoted. In India Students from anywhere can study & make a career. No one can restrict that. I made my career studying at #Mumbai & ever grateful. So is the case of thousands studying here''
PR replied to him and said,
"YES .. Dhananjayan... thank you for clarifying with me .... I NEVER SAID THAT. .. it's DELIBERATELY MISQUOTED WITH BAD INTENTIONS.. SHAME on those who stoop to this level .. "
Well, the political war in Tamil Nadu seems to never seize a moment to involve actors and film personalities.
