Dileep's Manager moves HC for Bail

Malayalam Actor Dileep's Manager-cum-Close Aide Sunilraj AS alias Appunni approached Kerala High Court for anticipatory bail.
Appunni has been absconding ever since Dileep was arrested in connection with actress abduction and sexual assault case. Cops have launched a search operation after he didn't appear before them for questioning but haven't been successful in tracing him.
In his bail petition, Appunni told Court that there have been reports about his role in the crime and media branded him as an accused. He admitted receiving a phone call from prime accused Pulsar Suni's aide Vishnu seeking Rs 1.5 crore from Dileep. He, however, maintains SIT which grilled him several times didn't find any evidence against him so far. The Petitioner also expressed fear that cops could torture him if he is taken into custody.
High Court will hear the bail petitions of Dileep and Appunni Tomorrow. Today, HC struck down the bail petition of Pulsar Suni's former lawyer Pradeesh Chacko. SIT suspect Pulsar Suni might have handed over the memory card used to record the assault to Chacko at his office and he could have destroyed the key evidence.
