A physically-challenged person was abused at a Multiplex in Guwahati for not standing up when the National Anthem was played before the start of a movie.

Arman Ali, a disabled man, who was in one the front rows sat upright as a mark of respect to the National Anthem. After the completion of the Anthem, Two Men standing behind him began passing objectionable comments. One of the two guys said 'a Pakistani is sitting in front'.

The 36-Year-Old said this is how the society has been citing people don't even bother to know whether a person could stand up or not before calling him/her a Pakistani. He is now planning to write to the Chief Justice of India. 'Supreme Court hasn't considered the inability of disabled people while passing the ruling,' he opined.

In November last year, Supreme Court made National Anthem mandatory in all the cinema halls before the screening of a movie.
