Disappointment For CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan In Cabinet Expansion
By: Tupaki Desk | 22 April 2020 7:30 AM GMTFinally, after about 35 days without a team of ministers, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh has finally formed his cabinet. On Tuesday, five ministers were sworn in. But, herein lies the big story.
Not one of the ministers sworn in is a Shivraj Singh confidant. His supporters do not find place. The reason? The BJP national leadership wanted Shivraj to adhere to the commitments made to Jyotiraditya Scindia, who had recently resigned from the Congress to join the BJP and literally brought down the Kamal Nath Government. So, two of the five ministers sworn in are from Scindia camp. Among the remaining three, none are close camp followers of Shivraj Singh. Sources say there is great opposition to some of Shivraj Singh's supporters due to their past record. During the past 15 years, some of these leaders have become very unpopular.
However, Shivraj Singh is reported to have told his supporters to wait for some more time and that that there would be another expansion of the ministry. He assured that they would be accommodated in futue.
